Welcome from the Principal

Everyone at Springwood Central State School would like to extend a warm welcome to you and your family to our school. Our school has a long proud tradition of providing educational opportunities to students in our local area.

The values of our school are:

  • Tolerance and understanding
  • Respect for self and others
  • Responsibility
  • Honesty
  • Excellence

The rules of our school are:

  • Be safe and healthy
  • Be a learner and achiever
  • Be co-operative

These extend to all of the various pursuits undertaken in the school – academic, sporting and cultural and social achievement.

We are a school which has the capacity to meet the diverse needs of individuals while pursing the goals of Education Queensland.

Our school is able to equip our students with the “basics” as the foundations that are so necessary for competent participation in our society. We can also provide students with access to new and emerging skills and abilities in the areas of technology, problem solving and team work.

Our school offers an inclusive curriculum to meet the needs of our diverse school population. A variety of activities is held annually which enhance the motivating activities offered in classrooms and extend the experiences of all students. These experiences are educationally stimulating and offer a challenge on different levels to all students.

For further information about our school please view the SCSS prospectus (PDF, 818KB).

Springwood Central State School is a friendly place where a strong sense of community exists and diversity is recognised and valued. We build a sense of belonging for all. We encourage our school community to be safe and healthy, cooperative and be learners. Everyone will strive to reach their potential and explore academic, sporting, social, environmental and artistic pursuits through the curriculum and a wide range of extra curricular activities.
