Thank you for considering our school as a potential partner for your child's education.

We invite you to visit Springwood Central for a Principal's Tour of the school grounds and facilities, available from 9.30am every Thursday, during the school term.

Enrolling your child at Springwood Central State School is a simple process. Contact the school to initiate this process and have documents mailed to you, come in and pick up documents from our school administration or alternatively download the documents from this site. Download the Student enrolment application form (PDF, 336KB). Return all forms to the school administration.

To organise a tour or organise enrolment materials, please contact our friendly administration staff. See our contact us page for details.

Catchment area

Springwood Central State School is a catchment school. A school catchment area is the geographical location where a state school’s core intake of students must live.

Catchment areas ensure every Queensland student from Prep to Year 12 is able to enrol at their local state school. Your local state school (primary or secondary) is the school which is closest to your home. This is measured by the shortest, most direct route by road—to and from the main entrance of the school.

Find your local school
(https://www.qgso.qld.gov.au/maps/edmap/) using the EdMap website—you can either search using your home address or enter a school’s name to see if your home is within its catchment area.

To enrol your child in our school, you will need to contact the office to collect the appropriate forms or download enrolment forms from this site and book a time for the enrolment interview. When coming to the interview, you will need to bring the following documents for the Administration team to sight.

  • Each child's birth certificate or passport

  • Your proof of residency

  • A current passport and visa is required for any child born overseas

  • Each child's most recent student report card

  • Information about any medical conditions or medication your child has to take whilst at school.

At the enrolment interview we will:

  • Discuss the details of your enrolment application

  • Organise uniforms

  • Organise a book list

  • Complete an enrolment agreement
