Springwood Central State School’s sporting house system encourages participation, teamwork and a strong sense of belonging across our school community.
Students are allocated to one of three sporting houses:
-
Dennis – Red
-
Wallace – Blue
-
Paxton – White
Throughout the year, students have opportunities to represent their house in sporting carnivals, school events and other friendly competitions. House activities promote positive participation, perseverance, cooperation and pride, with students encouraged to support their teammates and contribute to the success of their house.
Our sporting houses bring students from different year levels together and help build connections across the school. While competition is part of the fun, the focus remains on participation, sportsmanship, encouragement and giving every activity a go.
House spirit is an important part of life at Springwood Central State School, with students, staff and families encouraged to wear their house colours, cheer proudly and celebrate the efforts and achievements of all participants.
